Outside weddings can be A LOT of work for the engaged couple and extended family members but they are so worth it come the big day. One of my favorite venues is Bourne Farm on Cape Cod. An antique barn sited on a historical farm and bird sanctuary makes the perfect backdrop for nature lovers and couples who want a more relaxed feeling to their wedding day. I was so excited to be a part of Bre and Joe's early June wedding nuptials. They wanted lots of color, and big blowsy peonies ( the brides favorite) and that's what they got! Getting married in June? Think peonies! They're in season and readily available in many colors. I love helping couples include meaningful personal touches into their wedding flowers. The centerpieces were created with the families cherished milk glass collection. Each table had a different combination of vases and flowers giving the overall feeling a very organic vibe. The inside of the barn is a blank slate ready for your vision! This couple chose to have the bar inside rather than out. This couple chose to say, I do, under the big oak tree on the path near the stone walls. We marked the entrance to the ceremony site with wooden crates, rustic lanterns and swags of beautiful greens with a touch of blush flowers and ribbon. This couple and their family and friends, the venue and the flowers all added up to a fairy tale wedding to remember forever.
