Where a couple chooses to say their I do's is very personal. Whether it's a high-rise in a big city or an intimate backyard ceremony. There's a lot to be said for a bring the house down sort of affair, and the same can be said about smaller, intimate settings with fewer guests. It's important to follow your heart when planning your wedding which was just the case in this Cape Cod vintage-inspired backyard wedding. These high school sweethearts put their personal touch on every aspect of their ceremony and decor elements, from the handmade touches to locally grown flowers from Dandelion House. Seven guest tables under a big white tent (overlooking the ocean) were adorned with vintage silver plated serving trays topped with a photo of the couple from the year that correlated with the table#. They opted for in season local flowers because they loved the idea of having their wedding flowers grown especially for their day. Dahlias were a feature flower in this wedding. They come into their own in late August and keep blooming until frost. They are a perfect late summer- fall wedding flower. ( pictured above, Cafe Au Lait Dahlia) She's a popular choice for blush color pallets, such as dusty blue, burgundy, gray and white and navy. Smaller weddings often call for smaller wedding parties too, which can help to minimize stress during the planning stages. Sometimes, just having the love of your life and those both of you hold most dear is the right formula for your perfect wedding. And flowers from Dandelion House, of course.

This is better than most weddings. In my opinion, the place does not really matter much. When it comes to weddings, the most important thing is that you have each other. I know that I sound cliche and cheesy, but it is what I believe in. I still think that this backyard wedding is better than what most people do. I just cannot help but smile whenever i look at these pictures that you got here, they are all cute.
